Rainbow Mani: China Glaze Cirque du Soleil It's a Trap-Eze

This is not the first rainbow mani I've done—see my previous posts: Rainbow Sherbet and Rainbow Marbled. But this was definitely the easiest. Just a few coats of this white-based rainbow glitter then a glossy topcoat and you're good to go.  If you like it then better act fast—I noticed this was the only sold-out shade in the limited edition Cirque du Soleil display!

Crazy Summer Nails: Rainbow Sherbet

More ice cream fun—these colors look good enough to eat. To create this design I used one of my favorite nail art techniques, water marbling. My shades are:

  • Orange: Sally Hansen Smooth Perfect Sorbet
  • Lime: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mint Sorbet
  • Raspberry: Sinful Colors Star Fish

Nail of the Week: Rainbow Marbled

I'm a fan of the cooking site tablespoon.com, and a recent photo of rainbow cupcakes inspired me this week (see my Facebook page for the picture & link).

I'm still on my water marbling kick, and this rainy weekend (we're in the path of Hurricane Irene) was the perfect opportunity to create this colorful but time-consuming manicure. The shades I used are too numerous to mention, but most of them were opaque shades of Sinful Colors and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear.

Nail of the Week: Rainbow Brite

Nail art polishes are plentiful and inexpensive at dollar and discount stores, and I took advantage of that for this pattern. I used a combination of Color Club, L.A. Colors and Kiss brands. The blue base is Color Club Take Me to Your Chateau.
