I needed a break from the red/pink/lavender palette I've been using for my Valentine's Day designs. I'm feeling greens, blues and teals lately. Here's the first in a series of mermaid-inspired manis I'll be doing. For this one I used OPI Blasted in Turquoise over Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Lime Lights.

More Nail Polish Strips: Nail Rock

This nail polish strip trend has really taken off. Sally Hansen's version just got this glowing unpaid endorsement from  jezebel.com. I keep seeing new collections of these crop up—most recently these new patterns of Nail Rock's Nail Wraps at Walgreens. This variety is a little different than Sally Hansen's—the application requires a hair dryer to seal the adhesive. But the price point is a few dollars lower and the designs are a bit more on the wild side—mainly metallics and animal prints.
